Raw Thinking

Jeff begins to talk about what idea’s thoughts he is pre-occupied with.

Organization/Organisation:

(from Organizational Integrity by Torin M. Finser, Steiner Books, 2007)

To organise ideas and oneself he feels makes you more powerful (Why the human interest, curiosity around power)

By taking random, chaotic systems and organising you are providing coping managing strategies- in order to create a greater self.

Idea’s become reality through the system of organising.

Poetic imagination interfaced with rigorous through (thought?) structure. This seems to hold relevance to me as a choreographer and my trying to continuously define a clearer more ordered process with the hope that I will achieve greater clarity in my work and for those people involved or witnessing.

Why does the word Organise have Organ in it- When we think of Organs in relation to ourselves the most vital or prominent is the heart? It is said to be one of the few vital organs that holds joint physiological and emotional knowledge. Look at the very notion of heartbreak romantics, poets write about the heart as a creature, feeling object, Surgeons view it as an instrument a vital pump. The curious incidents of Heart Transplant patients who adopt new preferences and feelings post operation.

A simplified idea is that the very function of our organs is the organise, balance the bodies physiological structure.

Consuming an idea, digesting it and then it becomes a part us.

The view that choreographic process could be a strategy for leaning, unearthing the patterns, habits’ we already have.

We have habitual patterns, there is order and comfort on them, and Could Habits’ prevent us receiving learning digesting new information. Do habits become structured and therefore organised, so in turn more powerful??

Prue Lang raw thinking

Prue is pre-occupied with the tension between chaos and order. Her choreographic work has led her to construct frameworks so something unpredictable can occur.—taming the chaos.

I too am curious about this tension and release relationship. As an observer and practitioner of movement, there is something very exciting about being in the practical grips of such

I too am curious about this tension and release relationship. As an observer and practitioner of movement, there is something very exciting about being in the practical grips of such investigations. As a witness there is something very appealing about the form or movement that is generated by the ideas. I am curious to find or understand further why this is. Its it down to personal aesthetics broader contemporary aesthetics dictating. Could it be personal desire linking to our own cosmology? Or as we witness do we simultaneously feel and see concurrently. Is there something that happens biologically that resembles therefore we our programmed or genetically conditioned to be more responsive specific dynamics. Maybe it’s about how we catch absorb energy. Sometimes it feels quite primal hence the lack of coherent specific language.

How do we as artists manage duality?

Using the performing body to carry out Utopian ideas / comment on our concerns

Thoughts turn to co-dependency group dynamics and the environment in which we live in.

Energy
Energy we generate, use, steal as Humans living in a very technology language driven context, perhaps we have surplus energy. That is diverted somewhere else- Anxiety. Energy is not lost it transforms, or is shifted

I experience imbalanced energy. Dancing is goodpratice for me as it can potentially redirected unwanted, unnecessary energy. I often feel better after UI have been dancing in the studio.

RELATIONSHIP POWER ENERGY FORM.
